I was a guest on episode 41 of the Mom’s Basement podcast, where we discussed the Swedish gaming scene and indie gaming. After Alex, Rudy, William and I had recorded the episode we stayed on Skype for a bit and had a discussion which they were kind enough to let me share with you listeners as an episode on the Nordnordost podcast.
Jag gästade den amerikanska spelpodcasten Mom’s Basement, och vi snackade indiespel och annat bös. Det är en trevlig podcast som bland annat har gjort en ganska grundlig genomgång av spelen från Game Chef 2012, och de snackar mycket om fokuserade spel.

in this episode Vivian from the US joins me for a chat about gaming. We discuss women gamers, Harry Potter and other IPs in gaming, the upcoming next edition of D&D, differences in US and Swedish con culture and many other things.
This is my first interview where the the guest could not join me in the studio. In the recording my voice got scrambled sometimes, good thing Vivian did most of the talking.

While I gauge the interest for a gaming podcast hosted mostly by Swedes speaking English, I’ll let it reside here on the Nordnordost blog.
Nordnordost is a group of gamers in the north of Sweden that plays indie RPGs and hosts the Indie Gaming Lounge at local cons. If you are curious of our other activites you can read the rest of this blog through lovely machine translation.
This first episode of the North by Northeast podcast is an actual play of Jackson Tegu’s game Silver and White.

Nä, det är ingen fara. Nordnordost kommer inte att bli engelskspråkigt. Men vi spelade Jackson Tegus spel Silver and White i går, och jag lät inspelningsutrustningen jobba. Lika bra att öva när man får chansen, inte sant?
Ljudkvaliteten blev lite varierad den här gången, men popcorn i en bunke prasslar betydligt mindre än gelegodisar i en plastförpackning, och jag hade gömt alla klicketi-klickande pennor. Till bordet hade jag bjudit Reia, Elin och David.
